Who Will Participate and How

The first step is to determine who will participate and what kind of activities each person will do. Sponsoring a blood drive is a great way to do community service and it is very simple. You can rally your freinds, family members, co-workers, fellow students and everybody else to participate in your blood drive.

It is important to remember that if someone can not donate blood, they can help out in a variety of other ways too. Volunteers are always needed to help with making phone calls to potential donors, providing refreshments the day of the drive, pass around a sign-up sheet, etc. Every little bit counts!

If you have a group of people who would be willing to participate or even if you need ideas on how to get a group started, contact the Siouxland Community Blood Bank's Recruitment Department right away. Our staff of Recruiters are always willing to meet with you and brainstorm ideas. We will even speak at your next meeting if you would like. Coming up with creative ways to get more people aware of the need for blood donations is what Recruiters do best!
